Manny, 74, of Ivesdale died at 2 p.m. Thursday [Nov 8 1990] at Carle foundation Hospital, Urbana. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Ivesdale. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Mittendorf- Calvert-Morgan Funeral Home, Champaign Chapel, with a prayer service at 7:45 p.m. Mr Manny was born March 6, 1916 at Ivesdale, a son of Clayton Y. and Nell Rodgers Manny. He married Mercedes Maley on Nov. 8 1947 at Ivesdale. She survives. Also surviving are two sons Victor Manny of Deerfield and Fred Manny of Los Angeles; one daughter, Candace Zeman of Vandalia; four grandchildren; and one sister, Helen Hillard of Ivesdale. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Mr Manny was postmaster at Ivesdale and was a rural mail carrier at Sadorus. He also was a real estate broker. He served in World War 11 in the American division of the Pacific Theater. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church Ivesdale. Mr. Manny was a member of Pesotum American Legion Post No. 580 and the Knights of Columbus, and was director of the Ivesdale Volunteer Fire Department.
