Obituary. . . Sidney, IL

Flora Schwartz

Flora N. Schwartz, 77, of Sidney died at 3:25 a.m. Sunday (Oct. 24,
1982) at Americana Healthcare Center, Urbana.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Freese Funeral home, Sidney, the
Rev. Richard hartshorn officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Sidney.

Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m.  and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral
home.

Mrs. Schwartz was born Jan.22, 1905, near Sidney a daughter of Henry A.
and Elizabeth Bamberger Block.  She married Edgar E. Schwartz Nov. 26,
1925, near Sidney.  He died Oct. 23,1979.

Survivors include two sons, Raymond Schwartz of Sidney and Melvin
Schwartz of Urbana; two daughters,  Mrs. Clayborn (Irene) Lofton and
Mrs. Hervin (Arlene) Buhr, both of Champaign; eight grand children;
three great-grandchildren;  a brother, Estor Block of Sidney and two
sisters Elma Haas of Sidell and Ella Erb of Sidney.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Mrs. Schwartz was a life member of Sidney United Church.  She was a
member of the Women's Fellowship of the church, the Sidney Home
Extension, and the Champaign County Farm Bureau.
