Obituary. . . Broadlands, IL

Myrle Block,83, of Broadlands died at 10:58 a.m. Sunday (May 29, 1994)
at home.

Funeral services will be held at Broadlands Community Church.  The Rev.
Paul Wier will officiate.  Burial will be in St. john's Cemetery,
Broadlands.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Kirby Funeral Home,
Broadlands.  Mrs. Block was born Nov. 24, 1910 at Camargo, a daughter of
Dan and Eva Moore Brewer.  She married Floyd H. Block on June 10 1934,
at Newman.  He died in 1988.

Survivors include two sons, Dan Block of Broadlands and David P. Block
of Philo; a daughter, Janis Meharry of Catlin; 10 grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren; a brother, Wayne Brewer of Champaign; and a sister
Leone Cooper of Tuscola.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Mrs. Block was a graduate of the University of Illinois and taught
school in the former ABL district for more than twenty years.

She was a member of the Broadlands United Community Church and had
taught Sunday School.
