Wakefield, Charles T. "Wake," 71, passed away March 18, 2007 in Prescott, Ariz. 

Mr. Wakefield was born in Champaign, Ill., before becoming a resident of Tampa 

and Plant City (Fla., Hillsborough County) for more than 30 years then 

relocating to Arizona. He was a retired City of Tampa Police Officer and was 

very active in organizations including the Elks, Eagles,  Screen Actors Guild 

and Fraternal Order of the Police. Mr. Wakefield was preceded in death by his 

wife, Beverly Ann Wilken, Onarga, Ill., (Iroquois County) and Brother David 

Ronald, Tampa. He is survived by Son, Michael Lee and Wife, Nancy, Atlanta, 

Ga., (Fulton-DeKalb Counties) Daughter, Tara Maria and Husband, Karl Johannsen, 

Redmond, Ore., (Deschutes County) Daughter Cheryl Ann and Husband, Gary Wagner, 

Plant City, Fla; Son, Bradley Andrew and Wife, Brooke, Baldwin, Fla., (Duval 

County) Grandchildren, Karla and Cody Johannsen, Joshua Cowart (Amy Garten), 

Jennifer Cowart (Grant Gibson) Krysteena and Kyle Wakefield; and Brothers, 

Marion "Mick," Zephyrhills, Fla., (Pasco County) and William Donald "Bill," 

Lakeland (Fla., Polk County) A graveside service will take place at 1 p.m., 

Saturday, April 28, 2007 at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery, 2323 

W. Brandon Blvd., Brandon, Fla., (Hillsboro County) Guests are invited to visit 

the Family after the service at the home of Gary and Cheryl Wagner in Plant City

(Hillsborough County).
