The decedent was a native of Kentucky and at the outbreak of the war enlisted with the 8th Kentucky cavalry on the Union side, serving with honor and distinction. He had resided in Taylorville for 20 years. His wife died several years ago, and eight sons and four daughters survive the union. The funeral services took place at 10 o'clock this morning from the Free Methodist church, Rev. Shuler, Owaneco officiating, and interment following at Oak Hill Cemetery. Six sons of the decedent served as pall bearers. Mr. Wright was aged 77 years, ? months and 10 days at his death. [Note: John Wright was the son-in-law of Elizabeth Dearinger.
