April 5, 1924, Obituary of William Edward Waterman, 61 died at his home south 
of Taylorville on Monday morning, April 4, 1924 succumbing to heart ddisease. 
Mr. Waterman was born near Mechanicsburg on Nov. 4, 1863. On Jan. 1, 1889, he 
was untied in marriage with Miss Ida Frances Hancock, who survives him. 
Funeral services were held at the family farm on Wednesday conducted by Rev. 
M.C. Cox of Pana. Burial was at Riverside Cemetery, Illiopolis, IL.

March 5, 1964, Obituary of Ida Frances Hancock Waterman, County Resident for 
50 Years, Dies.  Mrs Ida F.Waterman, 90 years old, died at 8 p.m. Monday night 
in Dexheimer Manor, Rt. 48 North, Taylorville, IL where she had resided one 
year.  Mrs. Wateman was born Nov. 19, 1973, the daughter of George Taylor and 
Mary Jane ROss Hancock.  She was married to William Edward Waterman on Jan. 1, 
1889 at Mechanicsburg. He preceded her in death many years ago. 
Surviving are Mrs.Carl (Ellen) Bartlet, Mrs. Orris (Della) Garrett, Mrs. 
Clarence (Bandetta) Lading all of this city; three sons, Burl Waterman of 
Taylorville, Raymond Waterman of Palmer and Dan Waterman of Harvel; one 
brother, George Hancock of this city, 67 grandchildren, several great and 
great-great-grandchildren. Funderal services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday 
in Shafer Funeral Home and burial will be at Riverside Cemetery at Illiopolis.
