D. 1854. Witnesseth that William Reed and Martha Ann his wife, heirs at law of James Terrell late of Clark County Indiana deceased in consideration of sixty dollars hereby forever quit claim to John M. Robertson of said county a certain piece or parcel of land in said county containing one hundred and one acres of land in survey N. 141 of the Illinois grant being the same land owned and resided on by the said James Terrell at the time of his death with all the appartanances and divisions. Estates right title, and claim of the one tenth part thereof. Witness the hands and seals of the said William Reed and Martha Ann his wife the day first written. Wm. Reed Martha Ann Reed (her mark) A. J. Howerton, J. C. Ward. I, A. J. Howerton, a Justice of the peace in and for said county, do hereby certify the above named William Reed who is personally known to me to be the person whose name is subscribed in the foregoing deed of conveyance as to being excuted the same, this day in his proper person personally came before me and acknowledged that he severally signed, sealed, and delivered the said deed for the use and purposes therein mentioned. And the said Martha Ann Reed, wife of William Reed, being made fully acquainted with the contents of the above deed, and by me examined separate and apart from her said husband, acknowledged that she executed the said deed and relinquished her right of dower to ___ and tenements therein conveyed voluntarily, freely, and without any compulsion of her said husband given under my hand and seal this 17th day of April A.
