MELROSE ITEMS

Axem Spivey was in West Union Saturday.   John Wells delivered
sheep at Martinsville Monday.   Rev. Downey filled his
appointment at Bluegrass Sunday.   C.E. Thompson and daughter
were at West Union Saturday.

There will be preaching here next Sunday and Sunday night.
Harry Dodd transacted business at West Union Saturday.   Mrs.
Lee Stanfield of Ramsey visited relatives here last week.   The
infant son of Mr and Mrs Milo Baker is very sick.

Mrs S.S. Snavely and daughter were at Martinsville Tuesday.
Frank Hedges Jr and wife were business callers at West Union
one day last week.   Mrs Iredell Evans and daughter Alta were
business callers at Martinsville Saturday.

Wm Reed died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lizzie Cornwell,
Sunday evening, May 9.   The funeral was held Monday, Rev.
Downey officiating.
