B. Lake, of York, who has been sick for a long time died Saturday and was buried at York on Monday. William and T. J. Ather visited their sister, Mrs. Emma Shaw at Palestine last week.  She died Saturday and was buried yesterday at Palestine. Dr. Davis, of Robinson, and Dr. Smith of West Union, performed an operation of Mrs. Leo Stevens for appendicitis, Tuesday.  She is improving rapidly. Doctors Rafferty, of Robinson, Dr. Smith of West Union, and Dr. Ryerson, performed an operation Mrs. Reda Lindley Tuesday for cancer of the breast.  She is getting along nicely. John L. Mount died Monday morning at 8 o'clock.  Heart failure was the cause of his sudden death.  Mr. Mount was 76 years old and leaves a wife, two sons, and three daughters.  He was buried in the Hogue cemetery, the old family graveyard, two miles north of West York, on Tuesday. The people of West York will greatly miss Uncle John as we always called him, and our sympathy is with the bereft family.
