S. and Elizabeth Mills, was born in Knox Co., Indiana on October 10, 1854, died November 18, 1924, aged 70 years, 1 month and 8 days. On Sept. 12, 1878, she was united in marriage to James Boyer, who preceded her in death.  To this union was born two daughters, Jessie and Cora of this vicinity. She leaves to mourn her departure two daughters, two son-in-laws, four grandchildren, one sister, four brothers, and a host of friends and neighbors. At the age of 12 years, she was converted and joined the U. B. church at Westfield.  Later she with her husband moved her membership to the Wesley Chapel M. E. church where she remained a faithful and active member until death.  About a year ago she was stricken with a dread disease from which she never recovered.  Although her suffering was very intese, she bore it with great patience and Christian fortitude but God has said in his word that our light afflictions that are but for a moment worketh for his a far exceeding and more eternal weight of Glory. She was a loving and devoted mother and a kind neighbor always meeting you with a smile and a word of cheer and will be greatly missed by all who knew her but God has called to come up higher and we humbly bow to his will.
