Obituary of George Burkett

Friday, 13 July 1934, Terre Haute (IN) Tribune


Paris, Ill., July 13--George Burkett, resident of Auburn, Ill, near
Marshall, died Thursday at the Paris hospital, following an operation for
the removal of a chicken bone from his stomach.  Surviving is his wife,
Lizzie, and four daughters, Mrs. Golda Morgan, Mrs. Charles Morgan, Mrs.
John Hutchings, and Mrs. Leon Bender, all of Marshall, and one son, Ralph
Marshall.  Three brothers also survive him, as does three sisters.  He was
a member of the Masonic lodge.  Funeral services will be conducted
Saturday afternoon at Auburn with burial in an adjoining cemetery.
