Bell, who lives close by the old homestead. He was the son of James B. and Mary (Litlick) Bell. On February 8, 1874 he was married to Catherine Barbara Beltz Lloyd. She departed this life October 8th, 1932. To this union were born 9 children, 4 of whom are living, namely, James B. Bell of Marshall, Otis T. Bell of Wabash township, Ottis Bell, of Auburn, Mrs. Golden Thompson of Westfield and 1 stepdaughter, Mrs. Laura Rain of Terre Haute, Ind.  Five have preceded him to the Great Beyond, namely, Mrs. Mary Cooper, Sarah Luella Bell, Alonzo Bell, Bell, Bertine Bell and Mrs. Treasel Thompson. He also leaves 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Mr. Bell united with the Wabash Bethel Church of God, where he remained a faithful member to the last. He was an earnest and devout Christian and in his last years he always said he was prepared to go to meet his Lord.  He knew his God in a personal and intimate way and often expressed his desire and readiness to stand before Him and report on his stewardship.  His faith was triumphant, his religious experience a compelling reality. A short funeral service was held at the Macke cemetery the same day, and continued funeral services were held on Sunday at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev. O'Neal.  Burial was in the Macke cemetery. A precious one from us has gone, A voice we loved is stilled, A place is vacant in our home, Which never can be filled.
