H. and M. P. Clements, was born in Clark coutny, Illinois, Dec. 8, 1890, died at his home in Clark county, Illinois, March 20, 1916, age 25 years, 3 months and ? days. He leaves an aged father and mother, four sisters, Mrs. Clara McCrory, Mrs. Anna Hand, Glolda at home and Mrs. Sarah McDonnall of Holycke, Colorado, and one brother, William, of Terre Haute. He spent last summer in Colorado with his sister in hope of regaining his health but to no avail, came back last fall and gradually grew weaker and weaker until death came and claimed its reward.  He contracted the whooping cough three years ago which developed into tuberculosis.  His mother cared for him day and night during his illness. Over a week before he died, he gave his heart to God and expressed in words that he would love to live and tell his associates of a better lift than the one they were living.  Elvy had friends without number. There being a large crowd at the funeral showed that he was loved by all who knew him.  He was always ready to do all he could for his friends.  His flowers were most beautiful which he thought always were so lovely and cherished so much.  He is gone but cannot be forgotten, such is the life of a good boy as he.
