Blundell and wife, was born in Terre Haute on Feb. 9, 1878. When she was yet a child, the family moved to Marshall, which has since been their home. In January 1898, Kittie married Will Wallace. The young couple had been sweethearts since they were children. Kittie was a great favorite with her uncle, Clay Cork, and her aunts, his sisters, spending a large part of her girlhood days with them. When, in her last illness, she became so weak as to require constant attention, she was taken to their old home to receive the devoted care of her Uncle Clay and Aunt Helen, they being all who were left there, one of the aunts having married and the other been called Home. For several weeks poor Kittie lingered, growing rapidly weaker till the end came on Monday evening, May 23, at 7 o'clock. She had been ailing from some throat affection for nearly two years, and since last December has been unable to speak above a whisper. She was conscious to the very last and bade farewell to the weeping relatives surrounding her bedside. The funeral services were held on Wednesday last, Rev. Clearwaters officiating, and the remains interred in the Livingston cemetery. The beautiful casket was placed on supports under the trees in the churchyard, and there the weeping husband, three little children, father, mother, brothers, sisters, uncle, aunts and other relatives, as well as hosts of friends looked their last upon the dead. Kittie became a member of the M. E. Church when about 16 years of age and remained steadfast in the faith to the end. To the loving uncle and aunt who did so much to make her last days on earth peaceful and happy, she gave the affection of a daughter. May the grief of all those who sorrow for her so bitterly be tempered by the thought that for her all suffering is at an end, and that in the realms of the blest she watches and waits for them.
