CASEY REPORTER - 21JUN1999 - AREA DEATHS - CECILE GARD

Cecile Gard, 80, of Casey, died at 7:45 a.m., Monday, 21Jun1999, in Heartland 
Manor Nursing Home, Casey.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, 23Jun at Markwell & Son 
Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Gross & the Rev. Richard Chapman 
officiating.  Burial will be in Mount Cemetery south of Charleston.  Visitation 
will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday & 8 a.m. until time of service, 
Wednesday, at the funeral home.

She was born 10Jun1919, in Johnson Twp., Clark Co., the daughter of Harlan 
Cribelar & Amy (Poe) Cribelar.  She married John J. Gard, 05Feb1936, in 
Marshall.  He died 07Dec1992.

Survivors include 3 sons, John F. Gard & wife Nancy, James H. Gard & wife 
Connie, Richard S. Gard & wife Mary, all of Casey; 1 daudghter, Barbara Perisho 
& husband Herb, of Martinsville; 1 brother Elvin Cribelar of Casey; 15 
grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; & 14 step-great-
grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son, Robert Gard; 2 brothers, 
Kenneth Cribelar & Carl Cribelar.

Mrs. Gard was a homemakers & a member of Casey Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Fund.  Envelopes are available at 
the funeral home.
