Obituary of Sylvia Cassander Ball Hine

18 May 1904, Clark Co (IL) Herald


Sylvia Casander, daughter of Daniel M. and Elizabeth A. Ball,
was born at Black Lick, Ohio, April 10, 1857, and died in St.
Anthony's hospital at Terre Haute May 10, 1904.

She was married to Otho Hine and has been living in Clinton
several years.  She had been suffering from an incurable
disease for several months and as a last resort submitted to a
surgical operation from which she never recovered.

She was the mother of two daughters and one son.  She is
survived by her husband, one daughter, one son, two sisters,
one brother and a father.

The remains were laid to rest Thursday afternoon in the
cemetery at Livingston.  The funeral was preached by Rev. J. F.
Clearwater.--Acorn.
