An editorial in the Illinois State Register at Springfield states: “For ten years Mrs. Jayne B. Kerr has been active in promoting the good work of the Illinois State Tuberculosis Association. She has had much to do with the promotion of the Christmas Seal campaigns, the planning of clinics and the development of open air hospitals. To help in providing funds for the fundamental, life-saving, humanitarian work was her principal objective. She found greatest joy in giving comfort and relief to those afflicted with tuberculosis. That is the character of public service which deserves far greater recognition than it receives. It is genuine and human. Only such devotion to high ideals, makes life worthwhile. The death of Mrs. Kerr fills with profound sorrow the hearts of all who know her work.” File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/il/clark/obits/k/kerr882gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/ilfiles/ File size: 3.7 Kb
