Her parents were very devoted Christians and early instilled in the hearts of their children the necessity of God in their lives. Lizzie, at her mother's death, was then less than two years of age, but her beloved uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. George Dutro, kindly opened their hearts and gave the little one a home. here she remaiend until their death, then she came to live with her sister, Mrs. Geo. Fuller. She lived with her sister for five years, when on Feb. 24, 1892, she was united in marriage to David A. Lee. To this union was born one child, a sweet baby girl, and on her they lavished all the love and affection that parents could possibly give their children. Mrs. Lee was converted and united with the M. E. church Feb. 7, 1885, and was received into full membership July 12 of the same year, while J. B. Martin was pastor of the Westfield charge. She was an earnest worker in all the departments of the church and always gave freely of her substance to every church need. For the past two years, she has been almost a constant suffer, but she never grew melancholoy or distressed. She always had a smileand a cheerful word for her many friends who came to see her during her long illness. Her death which occurred at 3:30 on Friday, was a great shock to her friends. While they expected it, they were not ready for the grim messenger to come. She leaves besides her husband and a child, a brother and sister and a host of friends to mourn their loss. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Thrap, assisted by Rev. Graham, Seneff, and Ryan, Sunday, May 22, at 10:30 a.m., after which the body was tenderly laid to rest in Maple Hill cemetery.
