Obituary of Mary Jane Lewis Liffick

From 26 April 1905, Clark County (IL) Herald


Mary Jane Liffick, nee Lewis, was born in Clark county,
Illinois, June 14, 1866, and died April 18, 1905, aged 38
years, 10 months and 4 days.  She was married to Wm. Liffick
when she was 18 years old.  Eleven children were born to them,
five of whom preceeded the mother in death.  A grief-stricken
and heavy laden husband, two sons, four daughters and many
other relatives and friends are left to mourn a faithful wife,
an affectionate mother and a highly esteemed neighbor.  She
had been a member of the Christian church for 8 years.

The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. S. O. Stoltz at Cooper
chapel in Wabash township.  Interment was in the cemetery near
by.
