In the year 1862 she was joined in marriage to Lawrence Bishop who was born in Bullet county, Kentucky, March 1, 1837. To this union were born three children, two sons and one daughter, Emma, who died while young.  The two sons, Samuel T. lives in Washington, and William Bishop in St. Louis, MO. Soon after coming to Illinois some fifty-six years ago she united with the Clarksville Baptist church.  Her husband died in the year 1874. Besides the two sons she leaves one brother, James Farmer of Kentucky, who is the only surviving member of a family of seven children. She was again married in the year of 1890 to Emanuel Miller of Clarksville and she then changed her church relation to the Methodist church at Clarksville. She was again left a widow when her husband died December 11, 1912.  For several winters she had made her home with Mrs. Diana Murphy and here she passed away on February 11, 1926. The funeral services were held at the Clarksville church, Saturday at 11 o'clock with Rev. Howard Leach officiating, assisted by Rev. W. A. Fuson. Burial in the Clarksville cemetery.
