Obituary of Emma Estella Baker Millis


Mrs. Emma Estella Millis, 88, died Saturday evening, February 7, in St.
Anthony Hospital, Terre Haute.

Mrs. Millis was born June 25, 1881 in Martinsville, Illinois, the daughter
of John and Amanda McClure Baker.  On May 1, 1904, she was married to
Elwood Millis, who preceded her in death in 1938.

The deceased is survived by 3 sons, Dwight of Martinsville, Buell of
Palestine, Illinois and Col. Billy J. Millis of Clark Air Force Base
Phillipines, 3 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. from the Martinsville United
Methodist Church of which she was a devout member.  The Rev. Dean Austin
ministered the final rites, with burial in the Willis Chapel Cemetery.

Greenwell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
