Obituary of Minerva King Morris

1945, Clark Co (IL) Democrat


Mrs. Minerva Morris, daughter of Jacob and Lucy King, was born January
15, 1855 and departed this life October 4, 1945.  She was a member of
the Melrose Church of God and lived a true Christian life.

She leaves to mourn her departure, two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Tharp of
Marshall, Illinois and Mrs. Margaret Towel of Terre Haute, Ind.

She was united in two marriages; her first marriage to William Taggart,
who preceded her in death on March 7, 1891, and her second marriage to
William Morris, who preceded her in death December 18, 1913.

She leaves to mourn also 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren,
one niece and two nephews.  Also a host of friends and neighbors.

Services were conducted at the Melrose Church, Saturday, October 6,
1945 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. H. J. Kemp in charge.
