Nicol, was born at Alright, June 14, 1902 and died April 7, 1904, age 1 year, 9 months and 23 days. Again has the grim reaper visited our community to pluck from among us one of earth's brightest flowers, just blossoming into all the loveliness of sweet childhood. Just as she was beginning to lisp her first few words of children prattle, bringing sunshine and happiness to the home of her parents, her three brothers, and one sister, Death, with its icy grasp, claimed her for his own. Pneumonia had fastened itself upon the little form and later other troubles set in only to increase her suffering and lessen her chances of recovery and gradually did she grow worse till she sank into the sleep which knows no waking. The funeral services were held at the Anderson Congregational church, Rev. E. W. Murray officating. The floral gifts of relatives and friends were profuse and beautiful. A large number of friends gathered to pay their last tribute of respect to the departed and extend sympathy to the bereaved parents and other relatives. The body was taken to the Marshall cemetery, where it was laid to rest. File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/il/clark/obits/n/mmnicol.txt File size: 2 Kb
