Obituary of Henry Alvin Plaster

18 May 1904, Clark County (IL) Herald


Henry Alvin, eldest son of Franz and Ona Plaster, was born June
2, 1899 and died May 11, 1904.  In this brief record of short
life we cannot depet the anguish which filled our hearts when
the death angel again entered this home and took little Alvin
from our sight.  Four months ago we closed baby Mark's eyes in
death, but we know that he opened them in heaven and that Alvin
is with him.  The lonely hearts ache and the empty arms reach
out for the children who are gone, but from heaven they draw
the sorrowing hearts toward God and soon may we be able to say
"He doeth all things well."  Alvin was frist taken sick with
measles but apparently had recovered when his death came very
sudden.  The funeral was held Thursday afternoon, Rev.
Clearwaters saying a few comforting words at the cemetery.
