Obituary of Mrs. Jane Parcel

As stated last week, Mrs. Parcel died Sunday morning, Feb. 12
but the funeral was delayed until the following Sunday to
await the arrival of her daughter, Mrs. Brown, who was coming
from California to take one last look at the face of the
mother she loved so fondly.  There was a very large attendance
at the funeral, for "Aunt Jane" was known far and near, and
all who knew her were her friends.

Mrs. Parcel was a woman of strong earnest, Christian purposes.
Many a man, now a help to society and an honored citizen gives
Aunt Jane the credit of having made a man of him.  Always
sympathetic and with a heart that never grew old, many a young
girl has gone to her in her sorrows, disappointments and
discouragements, and come away cheered and strengthened for a
stronger battle with the trials of life.

The write has known her for twenty years and has always found
her the same true-hearted friend, always with a kindly
greeting when he came and a warm-hearted "come again" when he
departed.  A noble, saintly "mother in Israel" has gone to her
reward.
