Funeral services will be held Sunday morning at the Baptist church, with Rev. Hills conducting, & interment in the Casey cemetery. CASEY BANNER-TIMES - 04MAR1932 - OBITUARY John H., son of William Harvey & Rebecca Poe was born in Owen Co., IN, 12Mar1847, departed this life at Casey, IL, 18Feb1932, aged 84 years, 11 months & 6 days. 30Oct1870, he was married to Mollie C. Doran, at Martinsville, IL. To this union 3 children were born: Mrs. Etta Richardson, of Indianapolis; Mrs. Stella Davis & Mrs. Della McCoy, the latter preceded him to the home over there. He was ordained to the Baptist ministry about 55 years ago. For many years he taught in the public schools in this section of the state. Besides his companion & 2 daughters he leaves to mourn their loss, 2 grandchildren & 4 great-grandchildren, & 1 brother, J. V. Poe, of Casey. CARD OF THANKS We wish to thank the neighbors & friends for the kindness shown us, also for the beautiful flowers, during the recent illness of our loved one.
