CASEY DAILY REPORTER - 13OCT1947 - EDGAR POE DIED YESTERDAY AT VINCENNES, IN

Edgar Poe, 64, formerly residing on E. Harrison St., passed away yesterday 
morning at 4 o'clock at the Hillcrest sanitarium at Vincennes, IN, where he had 
been for about a week.

Surviving are his wife, Cora; 4 daughters, Mrs. Nellie Fox, Frances Poe, & Mrs. 
Franklin Gray, all of Casey, & Stella Wiley, Sutherland, IA; 1 brother, John, 
Martinsville; 4 sisters, Ruth Craig, May Poe, & Amy Cribelar, all of 
Martinsville; & Rose Digmer, Morris Hill, IN; & 6 grandchildren.

Services will be conducted from Markwell's funeral home tomorrow afternoon at 2 
o'clock with burial in Baird cemetery south of Martinsville.
