Obituary of Mahala Ralston

Wednesday, 2 Feb 1927, Clark County (IL) Democrat


Mrs. Mahala Ralston, wife of Thomas R. Ralston, was born May 2, 1841,
and departed this life January 24, 1927, age 85 years, 8 months and 22
days.

She was married to Thomas R. Ralston, December 22, 1859, who preceded
her in death, January 16, 1917.  To this union were born 9 children,
of which 4 preceded her to the Great Beyond, five living to mourn her
departure, Wheeler Ralston and Belle Sims, of Indianapolis, James
Ralston, of Tree Haute, Louisa Henderson, of Okmulgee, Okla., and
Georgia M. Rambo of Detroit, Michigan, also 22 grand children, 30
great grand children and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her
departure.

She united with the M. E. Church at an early age and held her
membership there until the organization fo the Mt. Olive Baptist
church of which she belonged till death called her.
