She had been in failing health for several years, but was confined to her bed only since Sunday, Sept. 4. The funeral service was held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Richwoods church, Elder Sylvan Dawson officiating. Burial was made in the adjoining cemetery. The Grandview male quartet, composed of Arnold Blair, T. B. Clapp, Henry and Martin Schnelder, sang three songs, "Rock of Ages," "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," and "Home at Last." Pallbeareres were the four grandsons of Mrs. Redman: Lancaster, Harold, Randall adn Warder Redman, and Charles Harmon and Roe Redman. Rebecca Wilhoit Redman, daughter of Pendleton and Sally Wilhoit, was born Feb. 28, 1848, in Farmersburg, Ind., and departed this life Sept. 9, 1938, at the age of 90 years. Early in life she moved to the Richwoods community where she lived the remainder of her life. On Jan. 10, 1871, she was united in marriage to Lancaster L. Redman, who preceded her in death 34 years ago. To this union was born one son, Elmer, who survives. Also surviving are one brother, Rufus Wilhoit, aged 83 years; one sister, Mrs. Margaret STark, 88 years of age; the following grandchildren, Lancaster, and Harold Redman of Chicago, Randall Redman of Gary, Ind., Mrs. Charles Harmon of Charleston, and WArder Redman; two great-grandchildren, David Elmer Redman of Chicago and Rebecca Eilene Harmon; one step-daughter, Mrs. Rose Rodgers, of Champaign; as well as other relatives and friends.
