Obituary of Sarah Cork Rice

Sarah, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cork, died at her home near Hume of
consumption April 3, aged 32 years and 9 days.

Sarah Rice was born in Clark county March 25, 1873.  She united with the M.
E. church at Armstrong and continued a faithful member until death.  Her
last words were "May the good Lord take me.  O, let me die!"  She was
married to J. F. Rice Jan. 12, 1893.  Her husband, five children, father,
mother, four sisters, Mrs. Frank Newell of Terre Haute, Mrs. Charles Farris
of Hume, Velva and Minnie, and two brothers, David and Frank are left to
mourn her departure.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Russell on Tuesday and the
remains were brought from Hume and interred in the Dunlap cemetery.
