Rodgers Westfield (IL) Review, Thursday, July 1915 T. T. Rodgers passed away Saturday Was born and raised in Rich Woods. Funeral Held at Concord on Monday. Thomas Rodgers died at his home near Vevay Park, Saturday night, being about sixty years of age. The deceased had had a paralytic stroke two or three years ago and had since been in very feeble health, but of late was considerable improved, was able to get about and ride to town and was in much better spirits, so that his death at this time came as quite a shock to his family and friends. He was taken sick Saturday afternoon and a physician summoned, but he grew steadily weaker until he passed from this life as one falling asleep. Mr. Rodgers was born and raised in the neighborhood east of Westfield and made that his home until he moved to Vevay Park several years ago, where he had since resided. He was a hard worker and good neighbor and always had a wide circle of friends. The funeral services were held from the Concord church in Rich Woods, Monday, conducted by Elder S. A. Dawson, and interment made in the Concord cemetery. Deceased leaves a wife and several children to mourn their loss of a kind husband and indulgent father.
