Obituary of Lean Baker Stanfield

11 February 1970, Martinsville (IL) Planet


Mrs. Leah M. Stanfield, 76, died about 3:30 a.m. last Sunday morning in St.
Anthony Hospital following a long illness.

A lifelong member of the Martinsville United Methodist Church, she was born
November 21, 1893, in Chicago, Illinois.  On March 11, 1916, she was united
in marriage to Ova Stanfield, who survives.

Other survivors are two sons, Max of Findlay, Ohio and M. Lynn Stanfield of
Athens, Georgia; one daughter, Mrs. Marion Fitzjarrald of Marshall; seven
grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a half-sister, Mrs. Lois
Anderton of Houston, Texas.

Final services were held from the Greenwell Funeral Home at 2 o'clock,
Tuesday afternoon.  The Rev. Dean Austin officiated and burial was in
Ridgelawn cemetery.
