Dehl, was born September 28, 1888 in Clark County Illinois, near West York, and departed this life January 18, 1949. On March the 7th, 1908, she was united in marriage to John W. Sloan at St. Louis, Missouri. Her husband preceded her in death November 29, 1942 at Troy, New York where they were residing at the time. She leaves to mourn her departure, one sister Mrs. J. D. Hines of Osawatomie, Kas. and three brothers, Harry Dehl, Crofton, Nebraska; Gideon A. and Lorenza of West Union, Illinois., also four nephews and three nieces and many other relatives and friends. After the death of her husband she came to West York to make her home. She had been in failing health for eleven years. She was a member of the Methodist church of West York, also a member of the Oriental Chapter O. E. S. 228 St. Louis, Missouri. Funeral services were conducted at the Bailiff Church by the Rev. Lee Guyer. Burial in cemetery nearby. Graveside services were conducted by the West Union Chapte O. E. S. 776. We wish to thank our friends and relatives for their kindness and sympathy at the recent death of our sister, Mrs. Nellie Sloan; to those that gave the floral pieces, to the minister, Rev. Lee Guyer; to the singers, Mr. and Mrs. Flord Stanfield; the organist, Mrs. Chancey Crowe; the Prust Funeral Home directors; the help of Dennis Angel, also services of the West Union Chapter O. E.
