His funeral was conducted Saturday by Rev. Richard Layton at Greenmoss church and the burial took place in the cemetery nearby. Mr. Veach is survived by a wife and several children who have been bereft of a kind husband and indulgent father. He had been a successful farmer and stockraiser and had accumulated enough property that his family are left in good circumstances. He was honest and upright and had so lived that all who knew him respected him for his true manhood. He had filled local offices and in the discharge of his public duties he had been as careful and honorable as he had been in his private affairs.
