He met his death by coming in contact with a live wire.  He was a juvenile member of Clover Leaf Camp No. 8639, Royal Neighbors of America. He leaves to mourn his departure a loving mother, two sisters, Mrs. hattie Hurst and Mrs. Vada Shaffner, Three brothers, Hurley, Obe, and Otto Veach, an aged grandmother, Mrs. A. Murphy, a step father, three step-sisters, two step-brothers and a number of other relatives and friends. He was the youngest child of a family of eight children; one sister, Julia, aged 5 and an infant brother, and also the father, preceded him to the Great Beyond.  He was an honest and affectionate son and brother and during his short life made a host of friends in his community and will be sadly missed by all. Tis hard to break the tender chord, When love has bound the heart-- Tis hard, so hard to speak the words "We must forever part." Dearest loved one, we must lay thee in the peaceful grave's embrace, But thy memory will be cherished, til we see thy heavenly face.   The funeral services were conducted at Green Moss church by Rev. O'Neal after which the memains were laid to rest in the cemetery near by.  "The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away.  Blest be the name of the Lord."
