Mrs. Wilson was born in Clark county, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Burkett, both deceased. Surviving besides the husband are four sons, Donald, James, Rex and Dewight, and a daughter, Kay, all at home; three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Owen Hendrix and Mrs. Glen Wilhoit and Mrs. Sylvan Morgan, all of Marshall, Joe and Charles Burkett, both of Paris. Our Heavenly Father has seen fit to suddenly remove from our midst Mrs. Marie Wilson. Allie Marie Burkett, youngest daughter of James and May Coons Burkett was born in Auburn township, December 4th, 1909 and departed this life at her home in Marshall, November 1st, 1946 at the age of 36 years, 10 months and 27 days. On April the 29th, 1931, she was united in marriage to Harvey Wilson of Marshall, and to this union there were born five children, Donald, James, Rex, Marylyn Kay, and Dwight. Also surviving her death are three sisters Ada Hendrix, Alfa Morgan, and Lillie Wilhoit of Marshall and vicinity and two brothers, Charles and Joe Burkett of Paris. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Clarence and two sisters, Mary and Lulu. She was baptized into Christ September 26th, 1923, by Victor Dorris, and remained a member of Five Points Church of Christ until her death. She was a kind and devoted wife and mother, a good neighbor and loved by all who knew her. Our heartfelt thanks are extended to our many neighbors, relatives and friends for the kindness and sympathy shown us in our great bereavement and loss of a dear wife, mother, and sister, Allie Marie Burkett Wilson; especially for the beautiful flowers, also Rev. Gibson and the Marr's Funeral home.
