He was married to Miss Ruth C. Reynolds, Nov. 14th, 1858. Nine children were born to this union, 4 having preceded him in death. On May 26, 1895, he was again united in marriage to Susie Cornwell, to which union 2 children were born, a boy and a girl, the son answering the final call in the world war. He leaves to mourn their loss, 3 sons, E. E. Willard of Mercedes, Texas, C. C. Willard of Witchita Falls, Texas, and J. H. Willard of Watson, Ill. also 3 daughters, Sarah Buckner of West Union, Nettie Rhine of ___, Texas, and Mrs. Pearl Davis of Watson, Ill. besides his devoted wife, 39 grand children, 44 great grandchildren and 6 great, great grandchildren, one sister and a host of other relatives and friends.
