Yeargin From 19 July 1905, Clark County (IL) Herald The following obituary notice from Clarksville, Ill., has been received at the Beacon office and will be a source of interest to many readers of this paper. Once more the reaper death has visited this community and taken a kind, loving husband and affectionate father in the person of Jesse I. Yeargin. He was born in Elbridge, Edgar coutny, July 30, 1871, and departed this life July9, 1905, at his mother's home in Clarksville, Ill., aged 33 years, 11 months and 21 days. He was married to Cora Millhouse February 10, 1897, and to this union was born one child. He leaves to moun his death, a wife, son, mother, stepfather, two sisters, two brothers and a host of sorrowing relatives and friends. The deceased has been a sufferer from cancer for the past few years, but had never thought his trouble serious till the last few weeks, when he realized that his days were numbered. He made ample preparations to meet his God and trusted inthe Saviour as his Redeemer. So we do not weep as those who have no hope, but rather look beyond the sky and feel that our loved one is there sweetly resting in the shadow of His wings. The funeral was conducted at the Baptist church of Clarksville under the auspices of the Odd Fellows. Funeral services were held by Rev. Holly of Grandview and the interment took place in the cemetery that joins the church.--Paris Beacon File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/il/clark/obits/y/jyeargin.txt File size: 2 Kb
