The Decatur [IL] Review June 4, 1904
Mattoon, Ills., June 4.-Mrs. Moses Alsculer[sic] died in Chicago Friday 
afternoon as the result of an operation performed in the hope of saving her 
life. The sad news was conveyed to Louis Katz in a message from Mr. Alschuler. 
Funeral arrangements have not been completed, but burial will probably be made 
in Chicago. Mrs. Alschuler was 53 years old. Her husband is an uncle of Sam 
Alschuler, Democratic candidate for governor at the last state election.
