Obituary of Kenneth RAMSEY, Coles County, Illinois

ARCOLA

Kenneth Ramsey, 78, of Arcola, died at 6:10 p.m. Monday 
(October 12, 1992) at his residence.

The funeral will be at 2 p. m. Thursday at Shrader Funeral 
Home in Arcola with the Rev. Martin Gutzmer officiating.  
Burial will be in the Arcola Cemetery.  Visitation will 
be from 6 to 8:30 p. m. today.

He was born August 23, 1914, near Hindsboro, the son of 
Granville and Somers Rebecca Ramsay Ramsey.  He married 
Betty Ann Hughes in 1947;  she survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Ingram of 
Bethalto and Mrs. Sandra Day of Atwood;  a brother, Keith 
Ramsey of Connersville, Ind., and four grandsons.  He was 
preceded in death by a son. 

Mr. Ramsey retired in 1979 from Quantum (USI) Chemical 
Corp. in Tuscola.  He was a veteran of WWII, a member of 
the Hindsboro Methodist Church and of American Legion 
Post No. 2910.
