JOHN WILLIAM REEDS, son of WILLIAM ALVA REEDS and CLARA B. NORTON, was born 07 
Sep 1921 in Oakland, Illinois, and died 05 Jul 1989 in Oakland, Illinois.  He 
married ANN MARIA 16 Jun 1950 in Osceola, Arkansas.  She was born 17 Apr 1928 
in Trinidad, Colorado, and died 30 Jul 1985 in Oakland, Coles, Illinois.

RESPECTED MAN OF OAKLAND DEAD
J. W. Reeds, aged 65 years, retired farmer and respected citizen of Oakland 
for many years, died suddenly at his home in Oakland, at 7:20 Saturday 
morning. Death is attributed to heart trouble. The funeral arrangements can 
not be completed until Kansas City, Mo. and Chicago relatives are heard from.
Mr. Reeds is survived by his wife, two sons. Jack Reeds, a former postmaster 
of Oakland, and Paul Reeds of Oakland; and four daughters, namely Mrs. J. T. 
Winkler of Oakland. Mrs. J. T. English of Kansas City, and the Misses Alice 
Reeds and Lucille Reeds of Chicago.
Mr. Reeds was for years president of the Citizen's National Bank of Oakland.
