Author: Mae Felts Herringshaw (1916)

Beifeld, Joseph, Capitalist, was born Aug. 22, 1853, in Hungary. In 1867 he came
to America. He established the College Inn; 1905 promoted White City; 1911
erected Hotel Sherman, of which company he is President; and a director of
various corporations. He is a member of the Hamilton, Lake Shore and Standard Clubs.
