Author: Mae Felts Herringshaw (1916)

Benjamin, Louis, Iron and Steel Merchant of 38 South Dearborn Street, was born
Sept. 30, 1850, in St. Louis, Mo. In 1880 he entered the employ of the Block and
Pollak Iron Company, and in 1906 became Vice-President and Secretary. He is now
President of the Oakdale Iron Company. He is a member of the Hamilton Club and
the Illinois Athletic Club.
