  Bentley, Wilbur Gorton, Lawyer and Underwriter of 127 North Dearborn Street,
was born Dec. 13, 1835, in Watertown, N. Y. He served as Captain, Major and
Lieutenant-Colonel in the Civil War. He was Attorney and Superintendent of
Agencies of the Continental Fire Insurance Company; and for nearly fifteen years
in the office of Hon. E. B. Sherman, Master in Chancery of the United States Court.
