  Birch, Hugh Taylor, Lawyer of 69 West Washington Street, was born Aug. 2,
1848, in Lake County, Ill. He was Assistant State's Attorney of Cook County; and
has been engaged in the practice of law in Chicago since 1871. He is a member of
the law firm of Gait, Birch and Gait.
