Author: Mae Felts Herringshaw (1916)

  Blegen, John, Broker of 160 West Jackson Boulevard, was born May 23, 1842, in
Tonsberg, Norway. For twelve years he was General Western Agent of the State
Steamship Company of Glasgow. Since 1898 he has been Secretary of the Mutual
Building and Loan Association. He is one of the founders of the Norwegian Old
Peoples Home at Norwood Park.
