In 1897-1901 he was Colonel on the Staff of Governor Tanner; and 1901-5 on the Staff of Governor Yates. Since 1889 he has been associated with the Hawley Down Draft Furnace Company, and is now President. He is a member of the Union League, Chicago Athletic and Washington Park Clubs.
