Chicago Daily Tribune - June 8, 1909
John L. Barnum died at his home, 6010 Kimbark avenue, yesterday at the age of 78 
yeas.  He came to Chicago from Wilkesbarre, Pa. in the '50s, and was engaged in 
the commission business on South Water street for many years.  He was a prominent 
member of the Order of Oddfellows.
