Thus ending his noble flight at the age of 28 years, 5 months and 15 days. On June 23, 1926 he was united in marriage to Minnie Becker by Rev. Boomershine and to this union was born one little girl, Gloria Lee. Shortly after this marriage they moved to Evanston, Illinois, where they lived a year and a half, returning to Monmouth when Mr. Butt's health began to fail. Since then he has been in this vicinity, coming to his mother's home six weeks previous to his death. Those left to mourn the death are his wife and daughter, his mother, and four brothers, George of Rockford, Illinois, Henry, Bennie and Onie, at home. His father died June 10, 1924 and two brothers, Eddie and Ora died January 30, 1923, and December 19, 1922, respectively. This leaves but four of a family of seven boys. Harry was a member of the Modern Woodmen fraternal order and this brotherhood had charge of the committal at the grave. Funeral services were held on Tuesday April 9th, prayer at the home of his mother, four miles northeast of Monmouth at 1:30 p.m. and sermon by Rev. D. F. Boomershine at Monmouth M. E. church at 2 p. m., where a large circle of friends and relatives gathered to pay last earthly tribute to the departed and express their sympathy to the living. Burial was made at the family lot at Monmouth cemetery.
