unknown news paper obituary
Mary cague was born November 10,1808, near crawfordbura, County Down, 
Ireland.  February 8, 1831 she married Robert Asten.  To them two boys and one 
girl were born, the boys dying while youn.  After coming to this country Mr. & 
Mrs. Asten settled in New York City and years after emigrated westward with 
Messrs, Hamiton and Gilson, settling in the town of Bremen.  While living in 
New York City, Mr. & Mrs. Asten united with Dr. Patterson's Presbyterian 
church.  Mr. Asten died March 22, 1861. Mrs. Asten then resided with her 
daughter, Mrs. John Rippet, at whose home she expired, Wednesday, November 29, 
at the age of 91 years and nineteen days.  The funeral was hled last Saturady 
afternoon, at the home.  Burial at Bachelor's Grove.
